One of my older sisters LOVES owls… and since I couldn’t find many [inexpensive] owl party decorations online, I decided to make my own! Everything turned out better than I expected, and I am happy to say that she was thrilled!
Here are some of the ideas that I came up with, and tips that I learned:
I cut some scrapbook paper to make these owl bag toppers. It was a little bit of trial and error at first, but I eventually got the shapes just right :-)
These turned out better than I expected. Brown paper bags, paper doilies, some twine, and blank tags that I put an owl stamp on!
I found these cute printables online via Marabous … Best part: They are FREE! I attached the tags to kaabob sticks, and since it’s fall I added a faux fall leaf to the back!
Since time was running short, We just went and bought a cake. Carrots didn’t go with the theme, so I slapped on a paper doilie and topped the cake with the pumpkin that I made earlier this month. Seen here. It worked really well, and I popped a fake candle inside to give a fun glow!
I used my scrapbook stamp once again, and just quickly put a stamp on all of the napkins. Tied up with some pretty ribbon, this was an easy way to sass up some boring decor!
I found some little owl punches at our local scrapbook store (only 10 cents a piece), so I used my hot glue gun to attach them onto dollar store party glasses! I added some raffia and leaf punches here and there, too.
Folded over scrapbook paper and a sucker! Just another fun idea to incorporate the theme!
